Musings of a Late Bloomer

I must admit that I am one who will start watching a series after it is already a few seasons in, or in some cases, has already ended.  A few examples that come to mind: The L Word, Chase, Three Rivers, and more recently, Body of Proof (and I have yet to get caught up with The Good Wife, which is next on the list).  Now, I don't know why I do this.  Maybe its some internal wiring to watch things after they've already progressed, maybe its not knowing the success rates of the show until it already has a few seasons under its belt.  Or maybe its the fact that its a doomed show, those ones that only have one season, and yet you watch it and become infatuated with it anyways. Who knows the real reason behind this?
